About the job
We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team, responsible for technical support and maintenance of installations of Sonihull ultrasonic systems across Marine, Offshore and Industrial customer sites. The role will include frequent travel across multiple sites, both in the UK, US and Europe to support installations, commissioning and service activities.
Key tasks:
Verify correct system performance following installation and commissioning, in line with Sonihull specifications
Prepare accurate service and installation reports and obtain customer sign-off on site
Update internal service and execution systems with relevant technical and job information
Follow Sonihull and Alfa Laval service procedures, safety standards, and documentation requirements at all times
Escalate technical issues where required and provide structured feedback to engineering and R&D teams
Provide basic operational guidance and technical support to customers on site
Identify installed base opportunities and communicate potential service or upgrade leads to the sales organisation
Report unsafe practices, near misses, or safety incidents in accordance with company and local procedures
Work a Wednesday to Sunday schedule, with flexibility to support customer operations and project timelines
Additional hours may be required during installations, commissioning, or travel periods, with overtime managed in line with company policy
What you know:
Experience working in a Field Service environment within shipyards, maritime vessels or oil & gas industry
Experience working within engine rooms or understanding of engine rooms within vessels
An understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical systems
Prior installation and commissioning experience
