About the job

Indirect Procurement Senior Purchaser

  • FLORVÅG
  • Fusa
  • Full time

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Indirect Procurement Senior Specialist to drive efficiency, standardization, and cost optimization across all Framo locations.

In this role, you will shape the way we manage indirect procurement, ensuring alignment with global sourcing directives, strengthening supplier partnerships, and improving processes across the organization.

You will play a key role in centralizing procurement activities, optimizing contracts, and ensuring compliance, ultimately contributing to Framo’s operational excellence and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Standardize Procedures: Develop and finalize Framo’s Indirect Procurement guidelines, ensuring full alignment with Global Sourcing directives.
  • Optimize Processes: Streamline procurement activities by defining initiation rules, reducing unnecessary stakeholder involvement, and improving efficiency.
  • Cost & Supplier Management: Lead cost-reduction initiatives through contract centralization, shared services, and supplier base consolidation.
  • Spend Categorization: Refine procurement categories and classify spend accurately, distinguishing potentially PO-based purchases vs non-PO transactions.
  • Contract Governance: Ensure all contracts are correctly executed using approved templates and systematically filed in company chosen database.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary contact for Alfa Laval within your procurement categories, fostering collaboration across locations and ensuring consistent practices.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, ideally in indirect procurement within a global organization.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement policies, contract management, and compliance.
  • Proven analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with procurement systems and databases (Microsoft D365 is a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian.

Key Competencies

  • Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on cost optimization and compliance.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and managing global processes.
  • Driving license and personal car, as the role requires weekly travel to Fusa, Flatøy, and Holsnøy locations.

Why Join Framo?
This is a high-impact role where you will have the opportunity to shape procurement practices across multiple locations and make a measurable difference in efficiency, cost, and supplier relationships. You’ll work in a collaborative, global environment and be empowered to drive strategic initiatives that matter.
