About the job

Nordic Key Account Manager, Food & Bioprocessing

  • Stockholm
  • Kolding
  • Full time

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About The Job

As Nordic Key Account Manager, Food & Bioprocessing, you will drive growth and strengthen partnerships with a selected portfolio of strategic customers, engineering companies and integrators. You will own a strategically important Nordic customer portfolio and have significant freedom to shape its development.
With us you will get to work with leading companies and Alfa Laval’s global technology specialists, with strong opportunities for further commercial and leadership development.

Your primary focus will be:

  • Develop account strategies and two-to-four-year growth plans
  • Build relationships across operations, engineering, procurement and management
  • Map customer sites, installed equipment and competitor positions
  • Develop opportunities from early dialogue through negotiation and order
  • Coordinate Alfa Laval specialists around the customer
  • Maintain systematic follow-up and a qualified pipeline

Travel is an important part of the role, approximately 60 days per year across the Nordic region.

You will report to Søren Johansen, Market Area Manager, and join a Nordic Capital Sales team built on openness, collaboration and individual ownership. Søren combines clear expectations with trust and autonomy, encouraging you to take initiative and shape your account strategies, supported by regular coaching and commercial sparring.

Who are you
Our KAM is the kind that creates opportunities rather than wait for enquiries, challenge assumptions constructively and focus on genuine commercial potential.

You navigate complex customer organizations, understand technical processes and maintain momentum through long sales cycles. To succeed we believe you are persuasive, forward-thinking, evaluative and conscientious. You take ownership while collaborating effectively with colleagues and specialists.

What you know
This is a role for you with a few years of experience in consultative B2B sales, business development or key account management within a technical or process-industry environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven success in developing strategic customer relationships and creating new business.
  • Experience selling complex technical solutions through long sales cycles and multi-level customer organizations.
  • Practical CRM experience in account planning, pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Technical or commercial education within process, food or dairy technology, engineering, business or a related field.
  • Professional fluency in English and at least one Nordic language
  • Driving licence

Merit:

  • Experience from food processing, beverages, ingredients, biotechnology, fermentation or capital equipment.
  • Experience with capital equipment, engineering companies, consultants or EPC contractors.
