The position / About the Job:

The position acts as finance partner for Operations (Manufacturing and warehouses). As a manager, you are working closely with various stakeholders across functions and businesses to track and improve business performance and to maintain financial discipline.

The position is responsible for overall performance, financial discipline, controls, governance and management analysis within the area of responsibility. The position reports in the India Chief Financial Officer and works closely with Head of Operations, India.  Some key areas are as follows:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders such as Head of Operations India, Factory Managers, Team of Business Controllers, Functional leaders, Sourcing department, supply chain, central product group etc. to drive performance.
  • Ensure required compliances and adequate internal controls.
  • Coach and develop a team of controllers for operations in India.
  • Drive cost optimization and elimination of leakages in factories.
  • Ensure right financial reporting including adequacy of provisions.
  • Work with Global + Local controllers to drive annual costing update and setting standard costs.  Ensure right product costing.
  • Lead tracking and ensure compliance across operations.
  • Ensure compliance with transfer pricing requirements.
  • Prepare business cases. Support and challenge the team on opportunities and assumptions.
  • Ensure internal policies are structured and respective departments adhere to it / follow it. Internal control gaps, if any, are identified and escalated with appropriate solutions.
  • Challenge the status quo to identify inadequate business processes and recommend improvement to obtain efficiency.
  • Drive consistency, standardization and efficiency amongst common outcomes/objectives across business and team.

Business Support

The position works as a co-pilot with Regional Operations Manager for driving performance, cost optimization, efficiency, governance and compliance in operations India. The position formulates and drives operations strategy along with various stakeholders.

Who you are -

  • Chartered Accountant with 15 years of experience.
  • Experience involving Manufacturing accounting and controls related to Factories is preferred.
  • Having experience in leading a team of finance professionals
