Project Office Manager

Alfa Laval India is looking for a dynamic Project Office Manager for its Satara location who would be responsible to Project Office supports our factory in making sustainable improvements and achieving our most important goals by focus on our strategic projects in Operational Plan, Master plan and other supply chain processes. Through global collaboration with OD-GPHE and developing our existing and new project managers the Project office will secure the right and necessary resources to run these projects.

About the job (Project Office Manager)

Local Assembly Satara stands as one of seven assembly supply sites worldwide within the Product Group Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger (GPHE). From our Satara facility, we distribute the complete spectrum of GPHE products. In this newly established role, you will assume leadership and coordination responsibilities for project managers within your team, as well as those in other departments within the LA team in GPHE Satara or global resources, tasked with running strategic projects outlined in our Operational Plan, Master Plan, and other initiatives of significant complexity or business significance. Additionally, you will be entrusted with the management of smaller-scale improvement and manufacturing concept projects.

Ideally, you hold an MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field, coupled with extensive experience managing complex projects and leading improvement initiatives. Your professional background includes a track record of success in project and program management within the industrial sector, whether in India or abroad. Familiarity with various project management methodologies is essential, with preference given to candidates experienced in Manufacturing Transformation and adept at implementing new manufacturing concepts. Additional qualifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification are highly valued.

Experience : 10 to 15 years

Education : B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech

Certification : PMP and Lean Six Sigma

The position is based in Satara, Maharashtra, India, and will report directly to the Factory Manager. As a member of the Local Assembly Satara Management Team, you will collaborate closely with both the local Operations organization and the global Operations Development team.

Throughout 2024, our focus will be on enhancing the capabilities of our processes to accommodate a 50% increase in our deliveries while reducing lead times by 30%. This effort is in preparation for sustained double-digit percentage growth in annual volume, in next 3-5 years.

Our Assembly Lines within the Factory will undergo Lean flow implementation, and the management of supply chain processes will adhere to the same principle of One Piece Flow. You will play a pivotal role in steering these projects towards success.

Responsibilities

You will have the responsibility for a project management pool comprising approximately 10 young, energetic, and dynamic colleagues within the Local Assembly teams. These individuals are ready to unleash their full potential in driving the development of our factory, refining processes, and providing exemplary support to our customers.
