Job Summary:
Coordinate and support the daily plan for the material handling team. Assign resources as needed to meet daily goals. Resolve discrepancies efficiently, train team members, and do root cause analysis/problem solving as needed.
As part of the team you will:
Lead a team of material handlers to ensure parts picking is completed in an accurate and timely manner. Collaborate closely with other warehouse/logistics teams to resolve issues. Train team members to a high level of ERP system competency.
Review, plan, coordinate, and support the daily work of the department with a continuous focus on our ALPS priorities – Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Drive daily ALPS Performance Meetings and weekly Improvement Meetings in the dept.
Run the daily shift startup/handover meetings.
Participate in projects and improvement initiatives.
Participate in all aspects of the Problem Resolution Process to help determine the root causes of problems and create sustainable solutions.
Provide departmental training
Write and audit SOPs as required, and drive improvements to the processes.
Own the material handling activities in coordination with the production team.
Collaborate closely with the inventory team to resolve inventory discrepancies
Serve as liaison between the dept., support functions, and Team Manager.
Ability to multi-task, self-manage, and prioritize to meet deadlines.
Other duties as assigned.
What you know:
You have a high school diploma or GED and
2 - 4 years previous warehouse logistics experience required
2 - 4 years previous material handling equipment experience required
Experience with handheld barcode scanners (Zebra preferred)
Experience working with Bill of Materials, pick lists, and other manufacturing documents
Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferred)

Physical Requirements (lifting, climbing, standing, kneeling, and equipment use):
Ability to lift 45 pounds occasionally
Certified Equipment operation (Forklift, Order Picker)
Ability to stand for majority of the work day
Environmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure):
Some hazardous material handling required

The base hourly rate for this role is typically $23.50/hr. plus a $4.00/hr. shift stipend.
