Purpose of job:
The Technical Documentation team within R&D for Separation technologies recruits a Technical Writer.
As a Technical Writer you are responsible for the delivery of Documentation that meets the demands of external and internal stakeholders in the best possible way.
As a Technical Writer – System Documentation you will:
Collaborate with the Design lead to create, update, and maintain the HSS system documentation, primarily separator systems.
Responsible for creating, updating and maintaining system manuals intended for customer use (Includes instructions regarding HMI, operation, installation guidelines, service/maintenance, operation, safety, alarm troubleshooting, etc.)
Develop and maintain the system manuals as per the standard set of documentation life cycles for new as well as existing products as per guidelines.
Create and maintain spare part catalogues for service function and customers.
Create/order illustrations, structure, layout, text, and images for the technical documentation material. Tools we use: Corel draw, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Creo Illustrate
Active participation in the development of tools and methods within the field of technical documentation
Develop and maintain the system manuals in the PDM system - Teamcenter
In collaboration with the design lead work on the future digitalization activities of the documentation
The daily work is carried out in close collaboration with design leads, engineers, project managers, product owners and technical product managers. The main beneficiaries of the work are our internal sales organization, our customers, Parts and Service and Operations. Work with external contacts, among others translation agency, consulting agencies for technical documentation, etc.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, Science, or related field (essential). Master’s Degree - good to have.
Strong technical writing skills with 2+ years' work experience preferred
Experience in Technical writing and process / functional content writing for products is a must
Understanding of software programming, PLC is an added advantage.
Good understanding of mechanical and electrical drawings with technical terminology.
Communicational skills; communicate effectively to peers and stakeholders at various levels.
Organizational skills; planning, prioritization, follow-up, reporting.
Technical Writing Certification would be an added advantage
Willingness to travel occasionally (international) for training or collaboration
Tools:
Be familiar with technical writing and illustration tools and understand the value they could bring.
Networking skills.
Good knowledge of the English language, verbally and written.
