Who you are:

We are looking Global Order Controller for Qingdao Marine site of Business Unit Marine Systems (BU MAS). As a Global Order Controller, you are working in our Engineering & Supply (E&S) organization, and you are part of Project Management team. The Global Order Controller plays a central role in ensuring operational excellence, data accuracy, and efficient order handling across global projects. The position supports project teams, production, and logistics by maintaining structured order processes, ensuring compliance with ERP and governance standards, and enabling a smooth flow from order initiation to project closure. The role contributes directly to project performance by providing operational control, ERP expertise, and coordination support across systems, stakeholders and value chain — ensuring transparency, structure, and efficiency throughout the order lifecycle.

You are reporting locally to Support Function Manager, and you have operational dotted line to Project Management Manager in Denmark. You are closely working with BU MAS colleagues in Europe & China, Alfa Laval’s sales companies in Northeast Asia and our factory in Qingdao.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum educational requirement is bachelor’s degree
  • Solid experience with ERP systems (preferably Axapta/D365 or similar).
  • Proven track record in order handling, logistics, or project coordination.
  • Understanding of project execution processes, data governance, and financial implications of order management.
  • Experience with structured workflows and cross-functional collaboration in a technical or project-driven organization.
  • Good English skill both oral and written

About the job:

Your responsibilities

Operational Support & Order Handling

  • Support TAO order handling processes to ensure data quality and alignment with project and financial targets.
  • Support NOP transfer activities between systems or functions to secure continuity and correct financial reporting.
  • Provide order-level support for special initiatives (e.g. TIGER, NOP).
  • Contractual review support for Project Managers
  • Support on control of Shipment lists and order health
  • Project Closure support

System & Process Support

  • Serve as Axapta SuperUser within the Project Management function — supporting key users, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring correct process adherence.
  • Maintain order handling procedures, documentation, and process flows in alignment with ERP and governance standards.
  • Provide input to future system or process improvements, including project closure and reporting processes.

Logistics & Project Support

  • Support logistics processes at item level for ongoing projects, ensuring correct coordination between PM, Logistics, and Supply Chain.
  • Ensure timely order updates, item creation, and delivery tracking in collaboration with relevant functions.
  • Provide ad hoc operational support to Project Managers and stakeholders where order handling or ERP coordination is required.

Continuous Improvement & Governance

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to order handling, ERP governance, and data accuracy (e.g. ALMA, MAGIX etc.).
  • Support the development of best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the staff function.
