Service Business is crucial in the Alfa Laval Iberia’s growth strategy of as well as a critical driver for the Sales company Transformation. We are looking for a Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for execution of field service labor, trouble shooting and service training at customer locations for heat exchangers to ensure reliable operation, optimum performance, and efficiency.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Responsible for executing and providing technical support to customer on PHE: commissioning, installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining as well as condition monitoring and energy audits on products, modules, and systems at customer site.
Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve technical problems on PHE and deep product knowledge on customers’ site.
Train customer on the features of products they have purchased.
Preparation of the service job to execute/resolve at the shortest possible time.
Follow up on actions and promises made to customers.
Write advanced (external/internal) service report on site and get it signed by the customer.
Update service execution IT system with relevant information.
Report unsafe practices, incidents, and work for continuous improvement.
Capture Installed Base on site and communicate sales opportunities to sales organization.
Proactive service advice to customers relating to the 360-service portfolio or Execute service in our Service Centres if required.
Communicate product related change notifications (Service Bulletins).
Train Field Service engineers in our own organization if appointed as trainer or mentor for ALSOC.
Supervise and oversee service jobs within your scope of expertise.
Qualifications for the role:
Associated degree or FP in Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrated 2+ years of experience.
Preferably reside in the Madrid area, although other options will be considered.
Availability to travel within Spain and Portugal, 80% of the time.
Knowledge of heat exchangers and separation technology is valued.
Proficiency in Spanish is required. Portuguese and/or English is merit.
