The Field Service Technician is available 24/7 for on-call field service labor, troubleshooting, and service training at customer locations. Support covers mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, with a strong focus on wastewater treatment technologies to ensure reliable operation, optimum performance, and efficiency.

This includes performing preventive maintenance, emergency and warranty repairs. Must be able to manage travel costs and operating expenses associated with field service visits.

This position is based in Houston, TX.

There are multiple openings for this role.

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Perform field service support for mechanical and electrical equipment, including belt filter presses, Iso-Disks, and Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBR) at customer sites

  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with safety and OSHA requirements

  • Conduct preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and warranty service to ensure reliable operation and performance

  • Complete trial runs and testing to verify equipment meets performance and quality standards

  • Document service work and parts used accurately for reporting and invoicing purposes

  • Advise and train customer operators and maintenance personnel on safe operation and maintenance procedures

  • Collaborate with Service Operations, Sales, Engineering, and Project Management teams

  • Travel extensively (approximately 75–85%) to support customers across assigned territories

What you know:

You have a High School Diploma or an Associate’s degree and have,

  • A minimum of two years’ hands‑on experience in field service or industrial environments

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical skills

  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues, following procedures, and working safely in industrial settings  

  • Strong clear communication skills with customers and internal teams and have a customer‑focused mindset

  • Comfortability working independently in the field while also being a strong team player

  • Basic PC skills (Word, Excel) and are willing to learn internal systems for service and expense reporting

  • You are adaptable, eager to learn, and motivated to grow your technical skills

Other Requirements:

  • You must possess a valid driver’s license and can meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 85 pounds or more.

  • Ability to climb ladders and enter confined spaces, such as air plenums or equipment rooms, as required by the job.

  • This role also requires frequent stooping, kneeling and bending as well as prolonged periods of standing and walking.
