  • Act as the functional process owner for Automation Engineering in customer project execution, setting and governing ways of working, and process adherence.

  • Ensure required competence level is kept within the full product portfolio as well as optimal use of the main Automation tools, E-plan & Siemens TIA portal, including introduction of new features and tools to the team.

  • Responsible for resource planning & staffing of the area.

  • Create structure where it is missing and ensure overview where it doesn’t already exist.

  • Engage in proactive risk reviews to support the right quality & reliability in the engineered solutions while keeping budget for allocated hours.

About you

You are a people-oriented leader with a strong focus on team well-being, development, and engagement. Your approach ensures that every team member feels valued and motivated, fostering a positive and productive work environment. With a process-driven mindset, you bring a structured and analytical approach to your work. You can balance operational execution with strategic development responsibilities. You are able to see the bigger picture, and access challenges from different perspectives, and thereby evaluate pros and cons for different opportunities.

As a strong communicator and relationship builder, your communication skills help you build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and suppliers, ensuring clear and effective collaboration. Your high sense of accountability and commitment to organizational success drive you to take ownership and strive for excellence in all your responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marine engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven leadership experience managing global or multi-site Engineering teams.

  • Strong understanding of control systems, resource planning, and stakeholder management.

  • Familiarity with compliance-driven environments and structured process ownership.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and implement structured ways of working.
