About the job
We are looking for a Business Developer to drive further growth within the Data Center industry. You will be part of the Equipment Sales Unit in BU BHE where Data Centers is a focused growth market and you will be the owner of the Data Centers business within the BU. The successful candidate will have background and knowledge of the Data Centers industry and market, and a proven track record of successfully developing sales, people and customer relations. We are on an exciting journey, with a strong position in the Data Center market and a great opportunity to position ourselves with our heat transfer knowledge and an innovative product offering. As Business developer for Data Centers, you will be instrumental in setting the direction, developing plans and implementing actions to drive continued growth, increased market share and developing lasting relations with key customers around the world.

Your role is to develop the Data Centers business for BHEs, mainly in Europe, driving sales through our sales companies and position Alfa Laval as a though leader through dotcom, SoMe and by networking in industry associations. This position will also be the BU BHE representative in the Cleantech Data Center community team. You will be part of a global Data Centers community, working close with Data Centers Business Developers from other Business Units.
Your responsibilities for this position will be:
Support all stages of the sales process, technically and commercially
Continuously contribute to positioning AL as a thought leader in Data Centers through SoMe and as speaker/panelist at industry conferences
Drive the OCP Europe work and represent AL in work groups
Provide input to partnerships and investment opportunities
Contribute to Sustainable Cities agenda- with main focus on heat reuse from Data Centers
Who are you?
As a member of the Global Key Customer Sales team, you will play a vital role in our business. We are looking for someone who possesses a genuine interest and expertise in both business and technical aspects, combined with a strong drive to ensure we strengthen our position in the industry and grow our business in new markets.
What you know
The right candidate has a solid experience from the Data Centre industry and a solid background in plate heat exchanger sales. You have a record of successfully managing and developing technical project sales in an international business-to-business environment. You are a good communication who like to challenge and inspire people, and you are confident speaking in front of large audiences.
Practicalities
The position is based in Europe, preferably Lund. You will report to the Head of Sales of Bu and dot. Line to Manager Key customers & Industry Manager Data centers. The role requires up to 50 days of international travelling per year.
