We believe a delivery can’t be considered “Done” until the intended business value has been released. The Data Engineer position is within the Sales & Service value stream.
The Sales & Service value stream provides digital solutions and processes for marketing, sales and services to enable and empower a digital customer and employee experience. The Alfa Laval data strategy for enabling analytics is to utilize Global Data Analytics Hub (GDAH). GDAH is a modern data platform Alfa Laval built on Microsoft Azure. The data platform is a Lakehouse designed on the pattern of medallion architecture which brings the best elements of data lakes and data warehouses. It supports diverse data applications, such as analytics, real-time monitoring, data science, and machine learning.
About the Role
As a Data Engineer you will work from source system to visualization, using the latest technology in Microsoft Azure to accelerate the implementation of all types of analytics in GDAH that the Sales & Service value stream prioritizes. You will work with the business defining requirements, design, develop, configure, test, and maintain analytics solutions within Alfa Laval. You ensure that solutions meet the needs and are evolved over time.
As part of the job, you keep yourself updated within the world of analytics. Together with your colleagues, you participate in evaluations of new tools and technology.
Our Requirements:
Working experience as a Cloud Data Engineer/Business Intelligence developer
Strong Experience of developing solutions on the Azure Analytics platform (strong knowledge within Azure Databricks, SQL Spark, Python Spark, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, and related Azure resources)
Knowledge of Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse architecture (Lakehouse), concepts and modelling (Kimball)
Knowledge of Business Intelligence development methods and patterns
Experience in working within SAFe
Ability to break down complex challenges into simple design and solutions that can be maintained efficiently
